The Night Before Christmas, the classic by Clement Moore (originally entitled A Visit From St. Nicholas), is one you just can't miss at Christmastime. The books above are illustrated by John Steven Gurney and Jan Brett. Both are lovely in their own way. There are so many beautifully illustrated versions of this wonderful poem.
