Holiday Books: The Twelve Days of Christmas

Today is actually the fourth day of Christmas. The Twelve Days of Christmas are the days in between Christmas and Epiphany on January sixth, also known at Christmastide. I didn't know that until just a couple of weeks ago!

Here are two lovely books, one with illustrations by Jan Brett, the other by Joanna Isles. With their help, now we can sing the song at just the right time.

*All this month at sara-sundries, I'll be highlighting beloved holiday books. I'd love to hear from you about your favorites!

  1. In church on Sunday, the priest made a little joke during the sermon...
We Catholics know how to celebrate Christmas,
we continue for 12 whole days!
    That was really cute.

Also in Mexico, Dia De Los Reyes(Three Kings Day/Epiphany) is celebrated on January 6th.

My dad said Santa never brought gifts in Mexico, it was always the Kings in January.

Funny how it took me 20 years, until this post, to figure out this Mexican Holiday.

    Thanks Sara for your post!!
