Here's one for all you Jane Austen fans: Lost in Austen. And we are not talking Austin, Texas. We are talking Pride and Prejudice!This British TV mini-series is about Amanda, a Jane Austen fanatic, who switches places with Elizabeth Bennet. This is a seriously fun imagining of what might happen if a modern woman took Miss Bennet's place in the novel...while Elizabeth enjoys life back in modern-day London.
Lost in Austen (here's the trailer) also stars the excellent Hugh Bonneville who plays one of my favorite characters in Downton Abbey. If anything, you will get a kick out of the scene with Mr. Darcy in the pond. (Go ahead, click on the link. You know you want to. Better yet, here's the video.)
I need to get on track here. Austen, Downton Abbey, North and South, The Bronte Myth... I have some reading/watching to do. :)
