Books o' the Month: The Outlandish Companion and The Fiery Cross
Well, that Diana Gabaldon has got me hooked. After Drums of Autumn, she published a companion book to the series, The Outlandish Companion, which I have been browsing in bits and pieces, and quite enjoying.
Next came The Fiery Cross, which continues the adventure of Jamie and Claire Fraser in pre-Revolutionary America. This series has been thoroughly addictive, each book around 1,000 pages long, and still not enough!
So, I must warn you again, don't start reading these books if you want or need to get anything done. Seriously.
I am a creative type, an artist. Married to a wonderful hubby, with two beautiful children (Valerie 12, Andrew 8), I just wing it and try to keep it all together everyday. I love to run and paint and write and crochet and sew and read, but I usually find myself doing other things like cooking, which I don't love, or trying to keep up with the dishes and the laundry, which I don't mind too much.
And...after eleven years "off" as a SAHM, I am back in the classroom as a substitute teacher.
