Happy Daddy's Day

Tom is completely head-over-heels for our kids. And what more could I possibly ask for? He has loved them from the very first moments he saw them.

He is the kindest, gentlest, silliest father I've ever seen. He cuddles and soothes them. He bounces and tickles them. He is all about making them laugh. And making them feel loved.

He cooks them wonderful dinners with fresh vegetables, everything from scratch. He teaches Valerie how to make pancakes and waffles. He shows them how to throw and catch balls. He says, "good throw!", to Andrew (who is 16 months old), even when the ball rolls down his back instead.

When Tom puts his brown shoes on in the morning, we know he is about to head out the door to go to work. When he comes home in the evening, he takes them off and leaves them neatly next to the bed. On the weekends, the kids clomp around in those big Daddy shoes. And I love that sound. It means Daddy isn't going anywhere, at least not until Monday morning.

We are so lucky to have you taking care of us and loving us, Tom-Daddy. Thank you, and we love you, too.
