If I Had a Hammer is a song, most famously performed by Peter, Paul and Mary. The first part of the song goes like this:
"If I had a hammer
I'd hammer in the morning
I'd hammer in the evening
All over this land
I'd hammer out danger
I'd hammer out a warning
I'd hammer out love between my brothers and my sisters
All over this land"
And while I sing it, I imagine how Andrew gets up early in the morning and likes to play, and how he doesn't always want to go to sleep at bedtime in the evening. I imagine him hammering things all over the living room. I imagine him going after me with the hammer, or Valerie. Then I imagine he and Valerie getting along, playing nicely together.
It's my own private music video. Much cuter than this one (no offense, P, P and M). After all, mine has a hammy.
I love it! Used to listen to P P and M all the time when I was a little kiddy... ;)
