The Autobiography of Santa Claus as told to Jeff Guinn is not a children's book, per se, but you could read it aloud. I was caught off guard by the fancifulness of this book--part history, part pure frivolity.
Until about a third of the way in, I had to really work at suspending my belief (ironically) to get into the storyline. But then, I began to enjoy it and wondered which character/historical figure would present him/herself next! Talk about the ultimate conspiracy theory. But in a good way.
*All this month at sara-sundries, I'll be highlighting beloved holiday books. I'd love to hear from you about your favorites!

This sounds really good....I'm into make-believe during the holidays. Even though my kids are old, I do try to keep the legend alive (despite the eye rolls I get).
