Okay, okay, Edward Burns is not a movie. He is an actor/writer/director. Kind of his own genre, in my opinion. (If you aren't familiar with his writing and directing, you may remember him as an actor in Saving Private Ryan.)
I watched his latest, Nice Guy Johnny, last weekend. It is short and sweet, with interesting characters. What I really like about Burns' films is the dialogue. And the New York/Irish Catholic sensibility. Plus, he is just so darn handsome.
Here some more EB movies I've seen and would recommend: The Brothers McMullen, She's the One, Sidewalks of New York. (Apparently, I've missed a bunch, so queuing those up on Netflix now...)
