Where Has the Summer Gone?

With Valerie's return to school this week, our ten weeks of summer break came abruptly to an end. We took it slow, but still it went by too fast.

Mostly I will remember the kids filling their days with play and projects of their own design, late afternoons riding bikes on our quiet street, vacationing at the beach, and visits with great grandma.

It was a good summer.
